Margas Energy is a pure-play renewable energy green field developer with expertise across the entire project lifecycle. Our extensive experience in developing projects across differing technologies and geographies makes us swift and effective in implementing our investment strategies in new markets.

Our mission is to help markets decarbonize by adding green electrons to their grid systems while providing local communities with new, cheaper, independent power sources.

Margas Energy is technology-agnostic while maintaining strategic relationships with bankable global suppliers.  Our recent technological focus has been on project pipelines across:

  • SOLAR - Solar energy is used worldwide and is increasingly popular for generating electricity, and heating or desalinating water. The cost of manufacturing solar panels has plummeted dramatically in the past decade, making them not only affordable, but also often the cheapest form of electricity.
  • WIND - Wind power has grown rapidly since 2000, driven by R&D, supportive policies and falling costs. Global installed onshore and offshore wind generation capacity has increased by a factor of 98; while the global weighted-average levelised cost of electricity of onshore and offshore wind fell by 56% and 48% respectively.
  • WASTE-TO-ENERGY - Waste-to-Energy is a technologically advanced means of waste disposal that is widely recognized for reducing greenhouse gasses—particularly methane—by eliminating emissions from landfills.
  • STORAGE - Grid-scale storage refers to technologies connected to the power grid that can store energy and then supply it back to the grid at a more advantageous time. Batteries will be essential to manage the impact on the power grid and handle the hourly and seasonal variations in renewable electricity output while keeping grids stable and reliable in the face of growing demand.

We are actively expanding our project pipeline and portfolio in these markets:

  • Albania
  • Argentina
  • Azerbaijan
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Kazakhstan
  • Montenegro
  • Serbia
  • Suriname
